Vision
We envision a secure, abundant, resilient food system in the Victoria region, created joyfully by vibrant communities operating within whole ecosystems and using integrated energy and resource cycles.
Mission
In response to the major social and ecological challenges of our time, Transition Victoria’s food working group will develop and implement a collaborative action plan to increase the ecological and social resilience of food systems in the Victoria region, while decreasing our energy dependence.
Implementation
The manifestation of this vision will involve shifts in:
• Food culture
• Climate adaptability
• Food education
• Food distribution and access
• Water management
• Land access
• Valuing of land for food growing
