The corporate media still won't tell people just what a total disaster this project really is ... but we will. (Victoria Community Television)
Thank you Elaine, that is a great video which I will circulate to the ITO membership and place on our own web site, too.
Comment by Elaine Weidner on March 31, 2012 at 2:12pm Hello Everyone
The following 16 minute animated NFB video shows how past planning practices created sprawl and increases in Green House Gas emissions and how smart growth policies can help to address these and other problems. It's easy to understand as well as humourous. Enjoy and pass along to your friends and neighbours.

Electric vehicles become reality in BC.

Hi All, I received this email. Definitely a great opportunity to get the group helping on a project.
he Victoria chapter of the BC Sustainable Energy Assn. wants to build a solar oven for use as a demonstration at the public events it attends. It would also serve as a practical project for making something concrete that reflects our values of using renewable sources of energy. This won’t be a huge project but could involved 3 – 5 people in various ways: research on design, procuring the materials, and building the oven. If you are interested, please contact Michael Nation, Victoria chapter Steering Cttee member, fentart@yahoo.com

Comment by Loving the Planet on July 9, 2011 at 8:52am Hi Everyone... Well I have moved out of the Victoria area... I am now in Port Alberni... so being a hands on active member with the group won't be happening... but would still love to continue to listen in and participate remotely as possible. I am really in the learning stages of Green Energy. So want to learn as much as possible about our options, potential and possibilities that are truly sustainable on the planet.
